Classic Spaghetti Bolognese Recipe
Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 500g ground beef
- 800g canned chopped tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
3. Add ground beef to the pan and cook until browned.
4. Stir in chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Reduce heat and simmer the sauce for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Serve the sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Top with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
