Classic Cheeseburger Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles (optional)
- Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise (optional)

Instructions:
1. Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty.
3. Season both sides of each patty with salt and pepper.
4. Cook the patties for about 4 minutes on one side, then flip.
5. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.
6. Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or skillet.
7. Assemble the cheeseburgers by placing the patty on the bun, then adding lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and condiments as desired.
