Hawaiian Spam Musubi

A beloved snack in Hawaii, Spam Musubi combines the flavors of Japan and America. This simple yet delicious dish consists of a slice of grilled Spam on top of a block of rice, wrapped together with nori (seaweed). Perfect for picnics, lunchboxes, or a quick snack.

Ingredients
1 can Spam
2 cups sushi rice, cooked and seasoned
4 sheets nori (seaweed)
Soy sauce, for brushing
Sugar, for sprinkling
Furikake (optional, for garnish)
Directions

Slice the Spam into 8 even pieces.
Fry the Spam slices until slightly crispy. Brush each slice with soy sauce and sprinkle with a little sugar while frying.
Place a slice of fried Spam on top of a block of rice. Press the rice and Spam together using a musubi press or your hands.
Wrap a strip of nori around the rice and Spam, sealing it with a little water.
Sprinkle with furikake for extra flavor, if desired.
Serve immediately or pack for a snack later.
